✨ ABOUT ME…
When I was pregnant with my son, I was seeing a midwife in the OBGYN clinic because I thought that would lead to the natural childbirth that I had envisioned. As my pregnancy went along, I realized how medicalized the system still was, even seeing a CNM. I made the decision to switch to a homebirth at 32 weeks pregnant and felt such relief after that decision had been made. My fears had been eased and I had binge watched pain free birth videos on Instagram, so I was fully prepared for labor...or so I thought.
Turns out, I severely under estimated birth. My labor was a very hard 39 hours that ended in a successful homebirth, but I was so afraid of getting pregnant again. I was not ready to give birth again after that!
Two years later, I got pregnant with my daughter. I poured so much time and energy into preparing for her birth, soaking up all the information I could find online about having a better birth. Her birth was so redeeming for me. I experienced strong contractions that were painless. I was in tune with my body and my baby and was listening to her movements. It was magical.
After her birth, I realized that I have to share my knowledge with every mama out there who wants a natural birth! I truly love teaching and supporting women in having an incredible birth experience. I am obsessed with all things pregnancy and birth, but my favorite part is seeing women step into their mama bear power and claim the birth that they deserve!
