✨ ABOUT ME…
A little bit about me- my name is Erica Cadavid. I am a mother, a perinatal mental health therapist, a birth doula, and a childbirth educator; to say I am PASSIONATE about childbirth is an understatement. I first became interested in childbirth during graduate school right after I had given birth to my son. I had a pretty traumatic childbirth experience and realized I had not been educated on what to expect or any choices/options I had during my son's birth. Due to this lack of information and education, I felt like I had a lack of empowerment and autonomy during my birth experience. As a mental health "nerd," I also realized that no care providers gave me any information regarding what to expect and what to look out for in the postpartum period. These realizations lead me to direct my work towards helping perinatal and postpartum women.

As a perinatal mental health therapist and birth doula, I have a lot of training in pregnancy, birth, birth trauma, and the postnatal period. I felt called to prepare mothers to feel ready to take on the challenges of postpartum.
